Cellaret

Platform: iOS
Year: 2020
Client: Self Initiated

Cellaret is an application for cataloging drinks in an easy to use archive. As someone who likes trying different beers and wines, this application was built to solve the problem of remembering old favorites. To reduce friction for adding new drinks, you can scan the barcode to populate the new drink form. The application beautifully supports dark mode for a seamless UI on both black and white iPhones.

The drink data is stored in Core Data while the pictures are resized and stored in the application’s documents folder. You can read more about how I achieved this here. To protect the API keys, I used CocoaPods Keys framework to obfuscate them in the app’s binary. If you pull the codebase and build, you will need to sign up for an API key from Barcode Spider. The codebase is available for review on Github.
